Building Stronger Communities. Creating Brighter Futures.
Houston Partnership for Success (HPFS), powered by Bethel’s Global Reach, is committed to equipping our young people, families, and neighborhoods with the tools they need to thrive. We bring together schools, faith-based organizations, healthcare providers, law enforcement, and local leaders to address some of Houston’s most pressing challenges — youth substance misuse, mental health disparities, and community resilience.
Our Mission
To unite schools, communities, organizations, and resources to create safe, healthy, and thriving neighborhoods by preventing youth substance use, promoting wellness, and empowering families through collaboration and education. By empowering youth and strengthening families, we’re building healthier communities today — and brighter futures tomorrow.
Our Vision
A connected and resilient Houston where every youth and family has the support, opportunities, and resources to succeed and lead healthy, fulfilling lives.
Our Values
COLLABORATION: We believe in the power of partnerships – working together with residents, schools, businesses, faith organizations, and local leaders to create lasting change.
EMPOWERMENT: We equip youth, families, and communities with the tools and knowledge to create solutions and drive positive outcomes.
PREVENTION: We focus on proactive strategies that address root causes, promote healthy choices, and reduce risk factors before challenges arise.
INCLUSION: We ensure that all voices, especially those historically underrepresented, are heard, valued, and included in decision-making.
Our Coalitions
HPFS anchors its prevention work in three dynamic community coalitions, each centered around a Houston ISD high school. Together, they unite parents, youth, educators, faith leaders, healthcare professionals, and community advocates to create safer, healthier neighborhoods.
Kashmere Coalition (Rev. Clarence Ford, Project Director, Community Coordinator)
Serving several communities in Northeast Houston, the Kashmere Coalition focuses on reducing substance misuse and strengthening protective factors for youth. By building on community pride and resilience, this coalition is working to improve graduation rates, reduce dropout risks, and empower students to succeed.
Sterling Coalition (Sonceri Jones, Community Coordinator)
Centered in Southeast Houston, the Sterling Coalition addresses the challenges faced by students and families impacted by poverty, crime, and limited resources. Through school-based prevention, positive youth engagement, and parent involvement, the coalition is shifting attitudes toward substance use and creating pathways for academic and personal success.
Wisdom Coalition (Raynard Ceaser, Community Coordinator)
Serving West Houston, the Wisdom Coalition brings together one of Houston’s most diverse communities. With a strong focus on culturally competent prevention education, this coalition supports immigrant and multilingual families, working to reduce alcohol, marijuana, and prescription drug misuse among youth.

Community-Wide Programs & Initiatives
Beyond the coalitions, HPFS leads and supports a wide range of initiatives that impact the Greater Houston area:
- 🧑🤝🧑 Youth Prevention Ambassadors (YPA): Students trained to create and share prevention-focused public service announcements on social media, radio, and TV.
- 🎙 Podcast & Video Series: Monthly conversations with youth, families, and experts addressing substance misuse, recovery, and community solutions.
- 🚔 Positive Ticketing: School Resource Officers recognize and reward students for positive behavior with tickets redeemable for fun incentives.
- 💊 Prescription Drug Take-Back Events: Safe, accessible opportunities for families to dispose of unused or expired medications.
- 📚 Youth Message Development, Positive Actions & Overdose Lifeline Seminars: School-based education on the dangers of opioids and the influence of alcohol marketing.
- 🩺 Mental Health First Aid Training: Equipping healthcare providers, educators, and law enforcement with tools to recognize and respond to mental health needs.
- 🏷 Sticker Shock Campaign: Youth and law enforcement partner with local retailers to place prevention stickers on alcohol products, reminding the community about underage drinking laws.
Our Commitment
HPFS is not just about reducing risk — it’s about building capacity. By uniting coalitions, empowering youth voices, and equipping families, we are creating a foundation for healthier futures across Houston.
Together, we’re turning data into action, challenges into opportunities, and communities into partners for success.
