In many countries spanning several continents, children are required to purchase uniforms to attend school, contributing to the illiteracy epidemic. In turn, this impacts the family\u2019s quality of life and the community\u2019s economic wellbeing. While the cost may seem minor to us, the financial burden is tremendous for those in other countries, especially families with multiple children. Clean, safe drinking water isn\u2019t as accessible as we may think. Today, over 1.5 billion people lack basic access to clean water. The impact results in sickness (waterborne diseases), physical ailments due to carrying water for prolonged distances, and missed educational opportunities. In Africa alone, 190 million children in 10 countries are at high risk of three water related threats: inadequate water, sanitation and hygiene related diseases.
